Leila Mae Smith, 88 of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at her home.
She was born November 11, 1918 in Shelby County, Indiana to Grover Stine and Lucy Hook Stine. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was formerly employed at Real Silk in Indianapolis, IN; Hancock County REMC; Utility Cashier for Greenfield Power and Light; and Deputy Treasurer for Hancock County, retiring in the last 1970's. She was a 1936 graduate of Westland High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brother, Millard Stine, Paul Stine, Levon "Barney" Stine and Grover Stine Jr.
She is survived by her husband James William Stine of Greenfield, IN; one son, Jim W. (wife, Janice) Stine II of Greenfield; one near daughter, Connie (husband, David) Reeves of Loxahatcher, FL; three grandchildren Brendan Smith of Greenfield, IN, Tia Shannon of Sulfer Springs, IN, Wendy Cecil of Shelbyville, IN; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, July 13, 2007 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
