Leonore E. Grove

Leonore Elizabeth Grove, 89, of Shelbyville, died Monday, June 12, 2006, at Heritage House Convalescent Center. Born Nov. 23, 1916, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of William and Ivy (Burdsall) Owens. She married Lawrence Leroy Grove Jr. on April 20, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2004. Survivors include one son, William (wife, Rosie) Grove of Shelbyville; two grandchildren, Scott (wife, Alicia) Grove and Karen Grove; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander James Grove and Sarah Elizabeth Grove. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Mrs. Grove had been a Shelbyville resident since 1959. She was a homemaker. She also had been an Avon sales representative since 1985 and a beautician. Mrs. Grove was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and former member of Ys-Bs Homemaker Club. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176; or St. Joseph Catholic School, 127 E.
