Lillian E. Tungate

Lillian Emmaline Tungate, 81, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Ashford Place Health Campus. Born March 4, 1925, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Clark and Bertha (Rhoades) Daniels. She married James Tungate on Dec. 17, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1985. Survivors include two nephews, Donald D. (wife, Ellen) Daniels of Shelbyville and Darrel Daniels of Fishers; and one niece, Karen Early of Shelbyville. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Garnett Daniels and Louis Daniels. Mrs. Tungate was a homemaker and had been employed at W.S. Major Hospital for 14 years. She graduated from Morristown High School. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Forest Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Campbell officiating. Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S. Harrison St., is handling the arrangements.
