Lillian "Joyce" Jones

Lillian “Joyce” Jones, 82, of Shelbyville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Morristown Manor in Morristown. She was born May 21, 1932, in Seymour, the daughter of William and Ruth L. (Bowman) Setser. She married Garnett Dale Jones on January 21, 1950, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2003. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Linda Joyce Warnecke and husband, Doug, of Morristown, Jan Leslie Jones and significant other, Lisa Poynter of Fountaintown and Lisa Diane Morgan and husband, Ron, of Fairland; sons, Gregory Dale Jones and wife, Julie, Bradley Jay Jones, Brian David Jones and wife, Tammy, and Patrick Steven Jones and wife, Linda, all of Shelbyville; brothers, Charles Setser of Florida and Chase Setser of Trafalgar; grandchildren, Brent Warnecke, Aaron Warnecke, Julie Woempner, Karen Troutt, Ben Jones, Matt Jones, Abbi Jones, Melissa Mummert, Eric Jones, Brayden Jones, Christina Paul, Stuart Jones, Nathan Cangany, Brandon Cangany, Alex Jones, Olivia Jones, Garrett Jones and Sawyer Jones; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Natalie Jean Jones; six sisters; and three brothers. Joyce graduated from Franklin High School. She was a member of Fairland United Methodist Church. Joyce devoted her life to her family, especially to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Women In Need (IWIN) Foundation, P.O. Box 30648, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220 to help fight breast cancer. Joyce’s family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Morristown Manor, who became her extended family, for their loving care and support.
