Lillian K. Theobad, 86, of Fairland passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Major Hospital.
Born March 1, 1923, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Oren and Rhoda Ellen (Worrell) Rouse. She married Odis Hardwick, and he preceded her in death on April 24, 1963. She then married Wayne Theobald, and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1973.
Survivors include her sons, Ron (wife, Sharon) Hardwick of Fairland and Kenneth Hardwick of New Palestine; sister, Leona Purcell of Milan; sister-in-law, Margaret Rouse of Morristown; grandchildren, Stephen S. (wife, Cathy) Hardwick of Carmel, Angela (husband, Rick) Crafton of Greenfield, David Hardwick of Shelbyville, Angie (husband, Rodney) McCreary of Connersbille, Daniel (wife, Ida) Hardwick of Irvine, California, William (wife, Christy) Hardwick of Fountaintown, Anne Hardwick of Indianapolis and Kristen Hardwick of New Palestine; great-grandchildren, Devan, Alison, Brittany, Emily, Jared, Grace, Grant, Melinda, Olivia, Will and Abigail; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Theobald formerly worked at KCL for more than 20 years, retiring May 31, 1989.
She had attended Fairland High School.
Mrs. Theobald formerly attended Fairland Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, with David Humphrey officiating.
