Linda K. Nolley, 62, of Shelbyville passed away Friday, April 10, 2009 at Major Hospital.
Born December 28, 1946 in Shelbyville to James Edward and Patricia Jean (Brokering) Nolley.
Survivors include her son, Jon E. (fiance', Cristy Thompson) Nolley of Shelbyville; grandsons, Tyler Nolley and Christian Thompson both of Shelbyville; brother, Jim (wife, Cheryl) Nolley of Shelbyville; mother, RoseMary Billie Nolley of Fairland; one niece, Kristen Nolley; two nephews, Sean and Scott Nolley; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Nolley graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1965 and Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL in 1969, she also attended Indiana and Butler Universities.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville.
Ms. Nolley formerly taught at Hendricks Elementary School, she worked for the Social Security Administration for 34 years as a Disability Claims Adjudicator and Supervisor.
She enjoyed scrapbooking and collecting antiques. She loved her grandsons and her cat, Spike.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Carmony-Ewing Chapel of Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Nolley officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
