Lisa Marie Carmony, 49, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born October 10, 1968, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Aften “Burr” Spurling and Eva (Hunt) Spurling Butler.
Lisa is survived by her mother of Shelbyville; son, Jordan Carmony and wife, LaTasha, of Shelbyville; brother, Larry Spurling and wife, Sylvia, of Shelbyville; sister, Linda Harmon and husband, Dennis, of Greensburg; step-brother, Steve Butler and wife, Tamara of St. Charles, Missouri; step-sister, Mary Kay Hallman and husband, Michael, of Redmond, Washington; grandsons, Jaden Carmony and Logan Carmony; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; step-father, Owen Kenneth Butler; and step-brother, Charles Butler.
Lisa was a member of First Christian Church.
She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1986 and obtained her associates degree from Indiana Business College.
Lisa was formerly a secretary at the Soil and Water Conservation office.
She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music and reading.
Lisa collected Longaberger baskets, Boyd’s bears and angels.
She cherished the time she spent with her family.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Interment will be at Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery in Shelby County.
