Lois Faye Russell

Lois Faye Russell, 75 of Boggstown passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at her home. Born April 2, 1934 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Charles Butcher and Leatha (Tharp) Butcher. She married Frank Russell on October 22, 1994, and he survives. Other survivors include daughters, Tina (husband, Ron) Harmon of Boggstown, Linda (husband, Junior) Smit of Shelbyville and Diane (husband, Danny) Garrett of Fairland; sister, Bessie Wright of Indianapolis; brother, Charles Butcher of Indianapolis; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steve Schoolcraft; and brother, Thomas Butcher and David Butcher. Mrs. Russell was formerly employed at Spenax, retiring in 1995. She loved the outdoors, flowers and was crazy about her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Boggstown Cemetery.
