Lois McDaniel

Lois R. McDaniel, 74, of Morristown passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. Born February 13, 1936, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Curtis J. and Rose Anna (Rodgers) Smith. She married Cecil "Mac" McDaniel on July 5, 1975, and he preceded her in death in October of 1999. Survivors include her mother of Morristown; sons, Tim (wife, Carla) Mann of Morristown and Bruce (wife, Elida) Mann of Kannapolis, North Carolina; step-daughters, Shirley (husband, Rosco) Flanagan of Deland, Florida, Sue Gardner of Windsor, Canada, Donna (husband, Joe) Snodgrass of Greenwood, step-son, Bob (wife, Cathy) McDaniel of Morristown; brother, Larry J. (wife, Beverly) Smith of Shelbyville; sister, Pat Spurlock of Morristown; grandchildren, Angel Mann of Bargersville, Levi Mann of Indianapolis, Forrest Mann of Morristown, William Bruce Mann, Jr. of Kannapolis; several great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; one niece and three nephews. She was also preceded in death by her father and one great-granddaughter. Mrs. mcDaniel served three years on the Morristown Town Council and was formerly employed by Soil Service Inc. for many years and later at C.G.S. Inc. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1953. Mrs. McDaniel loved reading and NASCAR. Graveside services will be at 10 am Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County Hospice, 425 E.
