Lois W. Taylor, 76, of Shelby County, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at her residence. Born November 17, 1934, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Clifford and Leila (Bland) Hudson. She married David S. Taylor on July 29, 1970, and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2003. Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Combs of Shelby County, Cathy Davis of Little Marion, and Charlotte (husband, Mike) Barngrover of Shelbyville; step-sons, Gerald (companion, Julana Mohr) Taylor and William (wife, Berniece) Taylor, both of Shelby County; grandchildren, Erica (companion, Dale Riggins) Corbin of St. Paul, Donnie (wife, Dawn) Perkins, Cindy Ann Barngrover, Jeff (wife, Jill) Taylor, and Hollie (husband, Richard) Paul, all of Shelbyville, Billy Summitt of Southport, Charles Padgett of Greenwood, Gara (husband, Rob) Larson of Shelby County, and Bev (husband, Juergen Thusat) Taylor of Alpena, Michigan; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Janice Owens. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Graveside services will be at 11 am, Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Miller Cemetery, 3541 South Cemetery Road, Shelbyville, Indiana Interment will be in Miller Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, Indiana 47201.
