Louis Leroy Humble, 89, of Martinsville, formerly of Morristown, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his daughter’s residence.
He was born January 4, 1926, in Washington, the son of Joseph and Stella (Gaither) Humble. He married Clara Walters on February 13, 1981, and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2009.
Louis is survived by his son, Dennis A Humble of Martinsville; daughters, Peggy A. Lambert and husband, Mitchell, and Tina Cast, both of Martinsville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Darrell L. Humble; brothers, Arthur Humble and Hobart Humble.
Louis graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1944.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
Louis retired from Western Electric as a toolmaker, in 1981.
He was a member of United Electrical Workers Union.
Louis loved to fish.
Graveside services will be at 12 noon Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
