Louis Wayne "Lou" Cohrs, 47, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006.
Born Dec. 27, 1958, in Joplin, Mo., he was the son of David and Phyllis (Davidson) Cohrs. He married Marcia A. Brewer on Nov. 3, 1980, and she survives.
Other survivors include his parents of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Rachele A. (husband, Casey) Gaudin and Emily C. Cohrs, both of Shelbyville; and one grandson, Leiam A. Gaudin.
Mr. Cohrs was a digital training facilitator in computers and video conference at Fort Benjamin Harrison for four years.
He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Marines from 1976 to 1980 and in the U.S. Navy from 1980 to 1985.
Mr. Cohrs graduated from Andress High School in El Paso in 1976 and from ITT Technical Institute, with an associates degree in electronics.
A gathering of friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
