Louisa M. "Louise" Updegraff, 92 of Fairland passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Waldron Health Care Home.
Born August 26, 1914 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of William and Jessie (Hall) Anderson. She married Forrest D. Updegraff on May 22, 1938, and her preceded her in death in 1967.
Survivors include her daughters, Marlena Louisa Wahneeta Kaster of Melbourne, Florida, and Avonelle Kluessendorf of South Carolina; grandchildren, Kelley Ann Kaster Kirschbaum of Shelbyville, Kent K. Kaster II of Melbourne, Florida, Larry H. Hikene II of Indianapolis and russell Christine Hikene of California; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd Anderson; and sister Alma Branson.
Mrs. Updegraff lived in Fairland Most of her life.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Updegraff was a member of Daughters of Isabella and formerly attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the St. Anne's Altar Society.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cliff Bunch officiating.
Interment will be in Fairland Cemtery in Fairland.
