Louise Margureritte Theobald, 101, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
She was born September 4, 1915, in Shelby County, the daughter of Oler and Eva (VanScyoc) Arnold. On November 24, 1938, she married R. Eugene “Gene” Theobald, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1995.
Louise is survived by her son, Larry Theobald and wife, Sue, of Shelbyville; daughter, Barbara Walton of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Chuck Walton and wife, Anita, Bobby Walton and wife, Ann and Victoria Theobald and Sidney; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Derek, Justin, Nick, Sidney, Lindsey, Lauryn and Matthew; and great-great-grandchildren, Brody, Hayden, Beckham and Graham.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Hubert Lawrence Theobald; brother, Robert K. Arnold; sisters, Mary Estelle and Juanita Arnold; and a son-in-law, Stanley Walton.
Louise graduated from Rushville High School in 1934.
She was a member of Rushville Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of Morristown Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star No. 316.
Louise was a homemaker. She and her late husband were the co-owners of Kelley Wiring from 1975 to 1995.
She enjoyed playing in her flowers, pictures, whistling and family.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
