Lowell Dean "Buck" Buckler, 74, of Shelbyville, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Major Hospital.
Born May 12, 1931, in Liberty Township, he was the son of the late Lester M. and Tressa May (Edmondson) Buckler. He married Jo Annis Newton on Aug. 31, 1956, and she survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Murcia A. (husband, Donald) Taylor of Indianapolis and one granddaughter, Mya A. Taylor of Indianapolis.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, James Buckler.
Mr. Buckler was a lifelong resident of Shelby County.
He had been employed by Indiana Ready Mix from 1955 to 1983 and by Williams Polishing and Plating as a truck driver from 1983 to 1990. After retirement, he drove cars for Hubler Collision, Hubler Ford and Kramer Automotive.
Mr. Buckler was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Blue Ridge Christian Union Church and American Legion Post No. 70.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robb Barlow officiating.
Interment will be in Norristown Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.
