Lucille Munier, 88, of Shelbyville died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at her home.
Born Nov. 16, 1918, in Moores Hill, she was the daughter of Edgar L. and Sadie (DeAtley) Hendrickson. She married Edward P. Munier on June 10, 1967, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1968.
Survivors include her stepson, Lt. Col. Paul Munier of Las Vegas, Nev.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wilma Hendrickson; and stepdaughter, Mary Ann Hollindens.
Mrs. Munier had lived most of her life in Shelbyville.
She had been a schoolteacher at Addison Township from 1946 to 1953 and at T.A. Hendricks from 1953 until retiring in 1989. She taught fourth through eighth grades and was known to her students as Miss Lucille.
Mrs. Munier graduated from Waldron High School in 1937 and from Danville Central Normal Teachers College.
She was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association and Waldron Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
