Lula Bell Zinaman

Lula Bell Zinaman, 75, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born August 24, 1937, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Ernest “Red” and Opal (Cole) Bowers. She married Thomas C. “Dude” Zinaman on February 16, 1953, and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2009. Survivors include her children, Randy (wife Suzie) of Shelbyville, Tommy (wife, Darla) Zinaman of Franklin, Beth (husband, Roger) Spence of Arlington, Heather (husband, Nick) Ferdig of Tampa, Florida, Randy (wife, Kira) Zinaman Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida, Tiffany (husband, Lowell) Sullivan and Paige Zinaman, both of Olathe, Kansas.; sister, Crystal (husband, Mark) Savage of Shelbyville; brother, Paul (wife, Kathy) Bowers of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Thomas Zinaman, Eric Zinaman, Matthew Zinaman, Sarah Spence, Ashley Hatfield and Zack Hatfield; great-grandchildren, Kali Zinaman, Demi McClellan, Trent McClellan, Matthew Sullivan, Lyle Sullivan and Aiden Hatfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Rawlings, Joy Williams and Linda Wright; and brothers, Fred Bowers, Steve Bowers and Kenneth “Chick” Bowers. Mrs. Zinaman was a lifelong resident of Shelbyville and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She retired as the custodian of the First Church of the Nazarene in 1998. Mrs. Zinaman enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Highway, with Rev. Dr. Steven Bohall and Dr. Kenneth P. Jewell officiating Interment will be in Arlington East Hill Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Ministries First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Highway, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
