Mack Evans Agee, 69, of Shelbyville, formerly of New Castle passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Major Hospital.
Born August 29, 1942 in Albany, Kentucky, he was the son of Oral and Virgie (Clark) Agee.
Survivors include his daughters, Kimberly (husband, Jerry, Jr.) Merrill of Shelbyville and Nikki (husband, Rondal) Poe of Lewisville; sons, Mack Agee Jr., James Agee, Kenneth Agee and Tracy Agee, all of Richmond; sister, Diana Faye (husband, Rex) Hill of Sylvester, Georgia; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Agee; and a sister, Francis Agee.
Mr. Agee lived in New Castle most of his life and moved to Shelbyville in August 2011.
He retired from Chrysler in New Castle where he was an inspector, after 30 years of service.
Mr. Agee was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed listing to Elvis Presley, watching old Westerns and spending time with his family.
Mr. Agee graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School in 1960.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrson St.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky.
