Mandy Jane Piercy

Mandy Jane Piercy, 46, of Manilla passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Major Hospital. Born October 6, 1964, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of George J. and Jane F. (McKinney) Spurling. She married John Piercy on February 18, 1989, and he survives. Other survivors include her parents of Shelbyville; daughter, Britney S. Piercy of Manilla; son, Ryan Piercy of Greenwood; sister, Kathy M. Gore of Shelbyville; brother, Christopher W. Spurling of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Kylee Piercy, Emma Piercy and Blake Piercy. She was a homemaker and was an active couponer and loved to price match. Mandy enjoyed crocheting and home decorating and loved animals, especially Ivix, her fennec fox and Syndei, her dog. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1982 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A gathering of friends will be from 4 to 7 pm, Friday, September 9, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. A memorial service will be at 7 pm, Friday at the funeral home, with Ronnie Caine officiating.
