Marcia L. Guffey

Marcia Lynn Guffey, 78, of North Vernon, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born August 6, 1944, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Jerry Stiers and Evelyn (Bates) McDowell.

Marcia is survived by her sons, Randall Lee Monday of Rushville, Roger Monday and Stephen Monday, both of Vincennes; daughters, Tammy Wood of North Vernon, Sandy Monday of Sullivan; Norma Monday of Vincennes; brothers, Paul Stiers of Shelbyville, and Ronnie Stiers of Indianapolis; sisters, Shirley Campbell of Indianapolis, Marilyn Bartlett of Shelbyville, and Mary Tindall of Hope; and a large loving family that includes grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Wayne Burton; sisters, Carol, Clara and Jan; and brothers, Bob and Chuck.

Marcia formerly worked at Park 100 foods, with over 10 years of service.

She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and attending family gatherings.

Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, funeral services will follow.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
