Marcia J. Chambers, 68, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Major Hospital.
Born Dec. 5, 1937, in Rushville, she was the daughter of Harold and Eva A. (Borem) Adams. She married Carl E. Chambers, and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother of Lafayette; one daughter, Debbie (husband, Randy) Lane of Shelbyville; one son, Scott (wife, Barbie) Chambers of Jacksonville, Fla.; four brothers, Bill Adams of Lafayette, Tom Adams of Oxford, Jerry Adams of Thorntown and Mark Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Barbara Staker of Deland, Fla., and Joan Blessing of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Byron, Michelle and Nathan; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and two sisters, Shirley Ralston and Kathleen Davis.
Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall.
Mrs. Chambers loved trees and writing poems.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Danny Moore officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
