Marcia J. Hunt

Marcia Jane Hunt, 49, of Shelbyville, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital, in Beech Grove. Born May 15, 1956, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Hilda M. (Maddox) Smith. She married Dan Hunt July 5, 1975, and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Ray Hunt and Randy Hunt, both of Shelbyville; one brother, John H. Smith of Lebanon, Ohio; one sister, Melanie Hardwick of Greenfield; and father-in-law Doyle Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Hunt was involved with several businesses: Hunt's Trucking, Sears catalog store in Shelbyville, Hunt's Shell and Hunt's Auto. She graduated from Shelbyville High School and from Beauty College in 1984. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made for leiomyosarcoma to the Shelby County Cancer Association in care of SCUFFY, 126 N. Harrison St.
