Marcia Markley, 51, of Shelbyville died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Major Hospital.
Born Aug. 9, 1955, in Columbus, she was the daughter of David Broadus and Thelma Jean (Lewis) Broadus Ward.
Survivors include her daughters, Amanda (husband, Robert) Lee of Shelbyville and Cynthia Markley (fiance, Ian Wolfram) of St. Paul; sisters, Patty Broadus-Lawson and Norma Young, both of North Vernon, and Carolyn Muttitt of West Haven, Conn.; and grandchildren, Christian Lee, Kaleb Lee, A.J. Wolfram, Blaze L. and Addyson Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Mary Mae Garrett.
Ms. Markley had been the service cashier for Sandman Brothers for several years, retiring in 2001.
She was a United States Air Force veteran and had been stationed in Big Springs, Texas.
Ms. Markley graduated from Columbus North High School in 1973 and from Ivy Tech State College in Columbus, with an associate's degree.
She loved nature and working puzzles and sudoku.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery in Hope, with military services conducted by local veterans organizations.
