Margaret L. Wagner

Margaret L. Wagner, 91, of Fairland, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Born November 6, 1918, in Ironton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jess and Nora Marie (McDaniel) Gannon. She married Ora King Wagner on November 10, 1933, and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1976. Survivors include her sons, Robert K. (wife, Jean L.) Wagner of Columbus, James F. (wife, Genevieve "Jenny") Wagner and Ronald W. (wife, Nancy) Wagner, both of Indianapolis; daughter, Janette M. "Jan" (husband, Robert) Sutton of Elkhart; sister, Helen (husband, Doug) Crichfield of Bedford; grandchildren, Bobby, Teresa, Kevin, Ronald, Tracy, Rob, Chris, Jason, Kim, Debbie and Margo; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Gannon, Carl Gannon, Lester Gannon, Orville Gannon, Jesse Gannon and Bill Gannon; and sister, Lillian Miller. Mrs. Wagner had been an inspector at RCA, retiring in 1983, after 35 years of service. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Wagner enjoyed yard work and her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Friday, October 15, 2010 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. and from 10 to 11 am Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, 4666 N. Michigan Rd., Fairland. Funeral services will be at 11 am the church, with Pastor Tracy Gross officiating. Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery.
