Margery A. Aichinger

Margery A. Aichinger, 74, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007, at her home. Born February 23, 1933, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Arthur J. and regina (Caddick) Winterrowd. She married Donald T. Aichinger on January 19, 1952, and he preceded her in death in March 1987. She married Edwin Grimes in September 2001, and he also preceded her in death, in December 2005. Survivors include sons, Steven D. (wife, Janis) Aichinger of Shelbyville and James A. Aichinger of Monticello; grandchildren, Lyra Baitis of Lovettsville, Va., Seth D. Aichinger of Lebanon, Ind., Abbey C. Aichinger of Avon, and Grace S. Aichinger, Skylar D. Aichinger and Spencer D. Aichinger, all of Shelbyville; and sister Peggy Boling of Bargarsville. She also was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Arthur J. Winterrowd. Mrs. Aichinger graduated in 1951 from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. She had been employed as the director of personnel for Bridgeport Brass in Indianapolis, retiring in 1987. Mrs. Aichinger had resided in Mesa, Ariz., from 1988 to 2006. Private graveside services are scheduled, with the Rev. Sandi Martin officiating. Memorial services will be at a later date. Emtombment will be at Washington Park North Cemetery in Indianapolis. Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelbyville-Shelby County Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
