Marie Helen Fuchs, 101, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born July 29, 1910, in Boggstown, she was the daughter of Clarence and Ada (Dritt) Sandefur.
Survivors include daughters, Deanna Case and "Eddie" (husband, Jim) Sleeth, both of Shelbyville, Patty (husband, Richard) Harker of Bullhead City, Arizona; sons, Paul (wife, Rose) Fuchs of Fairland and Larry (wife, JoAnn) Fuchs of Mooresville; sister, Tillie Isley of Greenwood; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clarence Fuchs; sister, Dorthy Crafton; brothers, Dee Sandefur, Lloyd Sandefur, Lewis Sandefur and Ralph Sandefur; granddaughter, Naomi Lou Fuchs; and grandson, Richard Junior Harker.
Mrs. Fuchs retired from L & J Garment Factory in 1976, after 27 years of service.
She was a member of West Street Methodist Church and Circle Three, "Twenty-Toilers" Homemakers Club and Flower Lovers Garden Club.
She enjoyed reading, quilting and attending Shelby Senior Services.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Monday, April 16, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 am, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Miller Cemetery.
