Marjorie Ellen Tucker

Marjorie Ellen Tucker, 94, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Waldron Health and Rehab in Waldron. She was born November 28, 1921 in Shelby County, the daughter of James H. and Frances M. (Dugan) DeBaun. She married Paul V. Tucker on February 6, 1943, in Lincoln, Nebraska, and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2005. Marjorie is survived by her son, Tony Tucker of Shelbyville; brother, Richard DeBaun of Greenwood; sister, Betty Byrer of Troy, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brian Tucker; and four brothers and four sisters. Marjorie was a member of Westside Wesleyan Church. She retired from KCL Corporation in 1997, with 54 years of service. Marjorie was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 70, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 2695, Moose Auxiliary Lodge No. 2118, Eagles Auxiliary Lodge No. 766, and a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Johnson County. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Wesleyan Church, 535 Dunn Ave, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
