Marjorie M. Haehl, 82, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Major Hospital. Born Sept. 5, 1923, in Rays Crossing, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Ethel R. (Good) Haehl. Survivors include one niece, Janice Marie Montgomery of Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lois Montgomery and Bernice Grace Haehl; and an infant brother, Kenneth Wilbur Haehl. Ms. Haehl was a lifelong Shelby County resident. She had worked on the family farm. Ms. Haehl was a former member of Rays Crossing Christian Union Church, where she was a member of the ladies aid society. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jerri Cadwallader and Dr. Mary Lundgren officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rays Crossing Christian Church, Post Office Box 1115, Shelbyville, IN 46176; or Zion United Church of Christ, 7025 E. 100N, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
