Mark D. Everhart, 51, of Greensburg (Waldron area), passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born October 3, 1964, in Shelbyville, the son of L. Dean and Linda E. (Dale) Everhart. He married Kris Fuchs on July 3, 1998, and she survives.
Mark is also survived by his mother, Linda Everhart of Greensburg; daughter, Clarissa Everhart Hehman and husband, Matthew, of Whiteland; son, L. Drew Everhart of Greensburg; brothers, Gary D. Everhart and wife, Toni, and Brian K. Everhart, both of Greensburg; sister, Diana L. Everhart Clark and husband, Jeff, of Wilkinson; grandson, Ryan Matthew Hehman; a grandchild on the way; mother-in-law, Sandy Kidd and husband, John, of St. Paul; father-in-law, Jim Fuchs and wife, Kathy, of Fairland; brother-in-law, Scott Fuchs of Shelbyville; sisters-in-law, Cris Kidd Johnson and husband, Randy, of Rushville and Angie Ewing of London; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mark graduated from Waldron High School in 1982.
He attended Geneva United Methodist Church.
Mark worked for Wheeler Corporation for the last ten years. He previously drove for Pope’s LP.
He was formerly a member of the Sons of the Legion and the Moose Lodge.
Mark was an avid mushroom hunter. He also enjoyed golfing, yard work and Purdue and Waldron basketball.
He loved helping on the family farm.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the funeral home, with Rev. Mark Dodd officiating.
Interment will be at VanPelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
