Mark R. Werbe, Sr., 59, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 18, 1955, in Madison, the son of James E. II and Bernice (Rusk) Werbe. Survivors include his mother, Bernice Werbe-Hindman of Shelbyville; daughter, Micah Werbe-McQueary and husband, Bub, of Shelbyville; son, Mark Werbe Jr. and wife, Carrie, of Edinburgh; brother, James E. Werbe, III, and wife, Julie, of Fishers; sisters, Christine Webber of Olney, Illinois and Judy Montgomery and husband, Gary, of Fairland; and grandchildren, Quinton Weir, Tristan Werbe, Keegan McQueary, Lea Werbe, Forester Werbe, Thomas Werbe and Hailey Werbe. He was preceded in death by his father; brother-in-law, Ed Webber; and a nephew, Gary A. Montgomery. Mark was a construction worker, currently working at Carl Mohr Construction. He collected antiques and enjoyed attending auctions. He also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, reading and art. Mark loved the time he spent with his grandchildren. A gathering of friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. A celebration of Mark’s life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating. Private inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
