Martha E. "Nanny" Miller, 95 of Arlington passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida.
Born December 4, 1914 in Millville, Henry County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert and Sara "Sally" (Taylor) Holcomb. She married Carl L. Miller, and he preceded her in death in 1965. She married A. Howard Wise, and he also preceded her in death.
Survivors includer her daughter, Sara (husband, Fred) Keesling of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Todd E. Keesling of Arlington and Edie Jo Keesling of Shelbyville; and great-grandchildren, Rachael D. Carlton, Jerrica R. Cox and Jessica C. Cox, all of Shelbyville.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Marilyn M. McMichael.
Mrs. Miller was member of the West Street United Methodist Church and attended Blue River Wesleyan Church.
She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Naamah Chapter #73, for over 70 years and was a also a member of Rebecca Lodge in Greenfield.
Mrs. Miller was a long-time homemaker, she had also worked at the former Garmet Factory in Shelbyville, Knightstown Children's Home, the Physical Therapy Department of W.S. Major Hospital in Shelbyville and also worked at Arlington Elementary School Cafeteria.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville, with Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Aaron Marshall officiating.
Interment will be in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
