Martha Jane Oldham, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.
She was born January 10, 1927, in Manilla, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Brown) Green.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Limpus and wife, Amy, of Shelbyville and Brian Limpus and wife, Janine, of Hobart; daughters, Mary Jane Loeffel and husband, Maurice, of Cary, Illinois and Bonnie Kennedy and husband, Jim, of Roselle, Illinois; brothers, Steven Green and wife, Joann, of Indianapolis, David Green and wife, Joyce, of Shelbyville and Rich Green of Ohio; sisters, Dinah Vassar and husband, Jim, of Shelbyville and Sue Ann Jester of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Maurice Loeffel III, Melisa Bauer, Matthew Loeffel, Maggie Loeffel, Kelly Kennedy, Emily Limpus, Addison Limpus and Payton Limpus; and great-grandchildren, Callie Loeffel, Grayson Loeffel, Melia Loeffel, Matthew Loeffel II, Ashton Bauer, Hudson Bauer and Maxwell Loeffel.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Martha was a lifelong Shelby County resident and graduated from Manilla High School in 1944.
She retired from the State of Indiana Child Support Division in 1994, after 35 years of service. After retirement, she worked at Shelby County Mental Health.
Martha was a member of First Christian Church and Business and Professional Women.
She enjoyed walking, doing ceramics and babysitting her grandchildren.
Martha also volunteered at Major Hospital, where she knitted hats for the infants.
Private family services will be observed.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
