Marvin K. Tinsley, 49, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at St Joeseph Hospital, in Fort Wayne.
Born Nov. 20, 1955, in Indiana, he was the son of Melvin C. and Mary L. Tinsley. He married Denise K. Sneed on Aug. 12, 1977, and she survives.
Other survivors include his parents, of Shelbyville; six daughters, Scarlett D. (husband, Shawn) Tinsley-Price of Williamsport, Candice M. (husband Tony) Hobson of Terre Haute, Elizabeth K. Tinsley, Pollyanna Tinsley, Anne A. Tinsley and Mary K. Tinsley, all of Shelbyville; four sisters, Cheryl Suits of Greenfield, Linda Jewell of Gwynneville, Anita Jones of Lebanon and Janell Tinsley of Shelbyville; two grandchildren, Alexander K. Burnes and Samuel C. Price; and parents-in-law Edward and Kathleen Sneed, of Brooksville, Fla.
Mr. Tinsley was employed as a commodities trader for 29 years, president of MKT Inc. and in pastoral care. He had been a minister of music as well as a commissioned song evangelist for the Church of the Nazarene.
He graduated in 1974 from Morristown High School.
Mr. Tinsley was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Highway, with Rev. Drs. Kenneth Jewell and Steve Bohall and the Rev. Steven Parker officiating.
Interment will be in Hanover Cemetery, in Shelby County.
