Mary E. McNabb

Mary E. McNabb, 77, of Fairland, passed away peacefully Monday, January 13, 2014. She was born March 19, 1936, in Boggstown, the daughter of John and Delsie Ann (Young) Stocklin. She married Richard D. McNabb in November of 1969, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1995. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Polston and husband, Donald, of Fairland, Barbara LaPlante and husband, Orville of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, Cindy Gray and husband, Eric, of Rossville and Paula Adkins of Greenwood; sons, Perry Sanders and wife, Nancy, of Fairland, Todd McNabb and wife, Patty, of Franklin, Sean McNabb and wife, Abbie, of Thorntown and Ian McNabb of Fairland; sister, Marjorie Smith of Shelbyville; brother, Raymond Stocklin and wife, Jackie, of Greensburg; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Sanders; sister, Margaret Weaver; brothers, Ralph Stocklin, Robert Stocklin and Roy Stocklin. Mary graduated from Boggstown High School in 1954. She retired from the State of Indiana, as an Administrative Assistant/Bid Coordinator in 2008, after 31 years of service. Mary loved to do yard work and gardening. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 11:30 am, Friday, January 17, 2014 at the funeral home, with Rev. Johnny Sanders officiating. Interment will be at Boggstown Cemetery.
