Mary Frances Miller, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
She was born January 3, 1928 in Shelby County, the daughter of Fred and Esther (Smith) Smith. She married Robert Chalmer Miller on December 5, 1948, and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2014.
Mary Frances is survived by her son, Gary Miller and wife, Vickie, of Lapel; daughter, Cindy Wetnight and husband, Ray, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Chad Miller and wife, Megan, Jenifer Bushong and husband, Toby, Chris Wetnight and wife, Frankie, and Brad Wetnight and wife, Brittany; and great-grandchildren, Kirsten Miller, Aly Miller, Elliot Wetnight, Cecilia Wetnight and Emma Bushong.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wilma Mae Kirschbaum, and a grandson, Andrew Wetnight.
Mary Frances graduated from Moral Township High School in 1945.
She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and “The Triple L Class”. She was also a member of Bears of Blue River Camping Club.
Mary Frances was a beautician for many years. Later, she was a real estate agent and broker for Century 21.
She loved camping and enjoyed helping her husband on the farm.
Mary Frances also leaves behind her faithful dog, Abby.
Her children wish to thank her three special caregivers and Major Hospital for her exceptional care.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015 at the funeral home, with Rev. Alecia Gross officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
