Mary Helen Stadtmiller

Mary Helen Stadtmiller, 89, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Cobblestone Crossing Healthcare Facility in Terre Haute. Mary was born February 14, 1924, in Shelbyville, to August and Amalia (Woerner) Rehme. She married Robert Joseph Stadtmiller on June 5, 1946, and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2004. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (husband, Larry) Hoffman of Naples, Florida and Julie (husband, Jim) Sitarski of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Ann (husband, Eric) Laufter of Chicago, Illinois, John Sitarski and Joey (wife, Brooke) Sitarski, both of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Jack and Connor Laufter, Noah Guess and Jacob Sitarski; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Clara McCabe, Rose Marie Kehoe and Dorothy Pritchard; brother, Frank Rehme; and two nephews, Patrick Kehoe and David McCabe. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1942, and had attended Ball State University. Mary was a homemaker. She had formerly worked at the Coca Cola Plant owned by the family, until retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Circle No. 79 Daughters of Isabella and St. Joe’s Social Club. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. in Shelbyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Father Aaron Pfaff officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E.
