Mary J. Stucker, 86, of Franklin, formerly of Fairland passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.
She was born April 8, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of William E. and Mary Jane (Demrest) Young. On May 8, 1953, she married her husband of 64 years, Duane Stucker, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2018.
Mary is survived by her sons, Michael Stucker and wife, Beth, of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Robert Stucker of Lakeland, Florida; daughter, Debra Petitt of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to Duane, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mary was a member of Fairland Baptist Church, Fairland Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 359 and Amaranth.
She retired from K-mart in 1994.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, with Eastern Star ritual at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
