Mary Jo Cook, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Major Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1936, in Switzerland County, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd and Thelma (Romans) Peelman. She married Donald Wayne Cook on September 17, 1960, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2014.
Survivors include her sons, Alan Scott and wife, Karen and Bobby Joe Cook and wife, Donna, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Sara Faye Webb and husband, Hal of Wooster, Ohio, Candy Long of Greenfield, Donna Jo Johnson and husband, Michael and Sue Cook, both of Shelbyville; sister, Sarah Keith of Vevay; grandchildren, Amber Scott Richardson, Adam Scott, Dustin Cook, Hal Webb III, Rachel Bierdeman, Megan Goff and Melissa McLane; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bobby Bonds.
Mary Jo retired from Krogers, with over 20 years of service.
She bowled on several leagues, enjoyed square dancing and was an avid Pacers fan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at the funeral homes, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
