Mary Kathryn Marshall, 81, of Shelbyville, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Hospice of South Central Indiana, in Columbus.
Born Dec. 26, 1923, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Blanche (Moore) Haehl. She married George Franklin Marshall on July 21, 1943, and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1991.
Survivors include one daughter, Georgia Kay (husband, Dennis) Kolowith, of Land O?Lakes, Wis.; three sisters, Martha Ann Creed, Carol Jean (husband, Floyd) Cooper and Phyllis Hill Barton, all of Shelbyville; one sister-in-law, Maxine (husband, George) Murnan of Fairland; a friend, Katherine Comstock of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, John D. Haehl.
Mrs. Marshall was a lifelong Shelby County resident.
She was employed at the former G.C. Murphy Co. from 1962 to 1983 and at the former Compton?s Farm Store for several years.
Mrs. Marshall graduated in 1942 from Fairland High School.
She was a member of First Christian Church and a former member of the St. Joe Social Club.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Evans officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
