Mary M. Branam Miller Wisker, 86, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Major Hospital.
Born February 22, 1921, in Rush County, she was the daughter of Herbert and Helen (Houchins) Branam. She married Paul Miller on September 9, 1939, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1969. She married Charles Wisker on September 12, 1974, and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2007.
Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis (husband, Fred) Palmer of Avon and Ellen (husband, Guntis) Kirkis of New Palestine; stepson, John (wife, Linda) Wisker of Shelbyville; stepdaughters, Janet (husband, Tom) Wheeler and Jean (husband, Gary) Tungate, both of Shelbyville; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Max Branam.
Mrs. Wisker was a homemaker.
She graduated from Manilla High School in 1939.
Mrs. Wisker was a member of Homer Christian Church, where she was a member of the ladies aide; and Town and Country Christian Church. She was a former member of the Eastern Star.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 :30 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral srvices will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Scott officiating.
Interment will be in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
