Mary M. (Brinson) Stainbrook, 66, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born November 10, 1940 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Helen (Pike) Stainbrook. She married Hubert C. Brinson, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters, Vickie Berry of Indianapolis, Connie Kirby of Franklin and Rita Holt and Mary Anne (husband, Patrick) Schaf, both of Shelbyville; a step-daughter Susan (husband, Rick) Clouse of Shelbyville; a foster son, Calvin Scott Byrd of Shelbyville; grandchildren Derrick (wife, Annie) Byers and Lori Byers, both of Indianapolis; sons-in-aw, Bernie Byers of Shelbyville and Joe Berry of Indianapolis; brothers, Jay (wife, Beth) Stainbrook of Milroy and Jerry (wife, Marlinda) Stainbrook of Shelbyville; a sister, Reba (husband, Robert) Simpson of Shelbyville; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Debbie Hook, a daughter, Patricia (Brinson) Byers, a son, Mike Brinson; and grandsons, Erick Kirby and Jason Smith.
Mrs. Stainbrook was a homemaker who had lived most of her life in Shelby County, raising her children and two grandchildren.
She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Harvest community Church in Marietta.
No visitation is planned.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock, with the Rev. Robert Simpson officiating, with burial following.
