Mary M. Tennell

Mary M. Tennell, 91, of Largo, Fla., died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at Oak Manor Nursing Home, in Largo. Born May 21, 1914, in Fairland, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Oldham) Mahley. Survivors include one son, Charles Tennell Jr. of Largo; and several nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sundra Lou Tennell; and three brothers. Ms. Tennell was a nurse at Johnson County Hospital for 11 years. She was a graduate of Fairland High School and attained her nursing degree from a nursing school in Cincinnati, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 232 W. Broadway St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glenn Yarden officiating. Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery, in Fairland.
