MaryEllen Baker, 70, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at her home.
Born July 25, 1936, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Allen and Louise (Harvey) Cate. She married Glen William Baker on Sept. 28, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Glen A. (wife, Rebekah) Baker of Fairland and Bill (wife, Brenda) Baker of Indianapolis; one daughter, Debbie (husband, Tracy) Ollis of Danville, Ill.; two brothers, Jack (wife, Pat) Cate of Bentonville and Kenneth (wife, Judy) Cate of Cambridge City; one sister, Rita Smith of Centerville; 10 grandchildren, Adam, Frankie, Christy, Mary, Tammy, Steven, Emily, Matthew, Stefanie and Nicolas; and five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Devan, Stephen, Aubree and Nathaniel.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Baker had lived in Shelbyville for the last 50 years.
She had worked at and later owned Tattoo Inc. for 40 years, retiring in 2001.
Mrs. Baker was a member of the First Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Baker officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
