Mavern M. McDaniel, 69 of Shelbyville, passed away April 26, 2009 at Hospice of South Central Indiana. Born May 14, 1939 in Manilla, she was the daughter of Arthur O. and Lola Marie (Theobald) Edwards. She married George Raymond "Ray" McDaniel on June 12, 1960, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2007. Survivors include her daughters, Anita M. McDaniel and Lori Lynn Williams, both of Shelbyville; son, Daniel R. (wife, Twyilla) McDaniel of Shelbyville; sister, Alice Clouse of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Jessica Nicole McDaniel, Kyle Lee Nusbaumer, Paul Raymond Williams and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laura Ann McDaniel, brothers, Lowell Edwards and Norman Edwards. Mrs. McDaniel was a graduate of Shelbyville High School in 1957. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville. Mrs. McDaniel enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting and chatting with her friends on the internet. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 pm, Friday, May 1, 2009 at Carmony-Ewing Chapel of Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN. Funeral services will be at 1 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mavern McDaniel Memorial Fund, in care of Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176
