Maxine “Ann” Sedden, 78, of Cloverdale, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Parkston, South Dakota.
She was born October 28, 1937 in Marion County, the daughter of Eugene and Daisey (Burdine) Turner. In October of 1984, she married David Sedden, whom she loved spending time with and experiencing the many dreams and adventures they were blessed with, he preceded her in death on December 2, 2007.
Ann is survived by her sons, Danny L. O’Nan of Brazil, Stacey O’Nan and wife, Betty, of Manilla, and Charles Sedden and wife, Kim of Indianapolis; daughters, Kay Welch and husband, Craig, of Florida, and Cherise Ogborn and husband, Ryan, of Brazil; sister, Ruth Shaw of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Isabel Boyle and husband, Mike, Zach Welch and wife, Nichole, Jennifer O’Nan, Vlad Ogborn, Lynnae Ogborn, Tiffany Sedden and Cassandra Sedden; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, David O’Nan; brothers, Leon Turner and Bob Turner; sisters, Zola Nolan, Vivian Turner and Dorothy Hopper; and a granddaughter, Lacey O’Nan.
Ann graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1954, and received her bachelor’s degree from Frankfort College in 1958.
She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Cloverdale.
Ann retired from Church Brother’s Body Shop in Indianapolis and GTE, where she was an accountant, to live on her mini farm in the country.
She enjoyed crafts, embroidery, needle work and canning.
Ann loved to spend time with her children and spoiling her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Boyle officiating.
Interment will be at Manilla Cemetery in Manilla.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
