Melissa Ann Linville, 48, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
She was born October 28, 1964 in Shelbyville, to Cloyd T. and Lossie Marie (Henke) Linville.
Melissa is survived by her mother and step-father, Lossie (husband, Dwain) Laird of Shelbyville; twin sons, Levi Christopher Linville and Luke Thomas Linville, both of Shelbyville; special daughters, Leah (husband, Austin) Haddix and Cassandra Collins, both of Shelby County; sister, Patricia Ilene “Tricia” (husband, Roger) Walton of Shelbyville; and nephew, Chad (wife, Jordan) Simerly of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Melissa was a lifelong resident of Shelbyville and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1982.
She was formerly employed at the Indiana General Assembly, Indiana Auditor of State, Linville Dairy Queen and T R Pizza.
Melissa was an inactive member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority.
She enjoyed cooking classes and watching cooking shows, "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy". Melissa loved chocolate and was very fond of cats.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Robb Barlow and Youth Pastor Greg Redd officiating.
Interment will be at Bennett Cemetery at a later date.
