Michael Jay Dugan, 60, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his residence. He was able to remain in his own home, due to the devoted care given by his son-in-law, Kenny.
He was born June 13, 1957, in Shelbyville, the son of William J. “Bill” and Jenny Sue (Nedderman) Dugan.
In addition to his mother of Shelbyville, Mike is survived by his daughters, Natalie Browning and husband, Kenny, and Michelle Rupert and husband, Justin, both of Shelbyville; son, Joseph Dugan of Shelbyville; sister, Kathleen “Kathy” DeMoss and husband, Jay, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Grace Browning, Ava Browning and Michael Dugan; longtime friends, Kenny and Brenda Rice, and Dave Cord, all of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, James Allen “Jamie” Dugan.
Mike graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1975.
He was formerly employed at Knauf Insulation for over 10 years.
Mike enjoyed fishing and bowling in the leagues at Blue River Bowling Lane. He loved music and attending concert, his favorite singer was Robin Trower.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
