Michael Vance Ross, 73, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Major Hospital.
Born March 24, 1938, in Coronado, California, he was the son of Robert A. and Marjorie (Hankins) Ross.
Survivors include his son, David C. (wife, Cheryl) Ross of Shelbyville; brothers, John Ross and James K. Ross, both of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Dustin Ogden, Shannon Fogle, Emily McNeely and Gabriel Ross; and great-grandchildren, Kaysie Fogle, Molly Fogle, Blayze Foster, Tylir McKenney and Aria McNeely.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert L. Ross.
Mr. Ross retired from Boeing in Wichita, Kansas, as a cost management analysis in 1995.
He was a US Army veteran, serving as a Captain during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Ross was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
He graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 am, Saturday, July 30, 2011 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1201 N. Riley Highway, Shelbyville, Indiana, with the Revs. Kris and Keith Dobyns officiating.
