Michelle Leigh Childers

Michelle went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2010. She was born June 13, 1957 in Marion County, Indiana, and was the daughter of William C. and Barabara J. (Clair) Brown. She married Donald R. Childers on May 18, 1975, and he survives. Other survivors include her parents of Avon; daughters, Jessica (fiance' Matt VanWinkle) Daugherty of Franklin and Lorraine Nuthak of Shelbyville; sisters, Denise (husband, Jeff) Brown of Plainfield, Eric (wife, Sue) Brown of Ladoga and Amy (husband, Tom) Rodriguez of Avon; and beloved granddaughter, Alexis Daugherty of Franklin. Michelle was a member of Town and Country Christian Church for over 20 years. She graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1975. Michelle was formerly a medical transcriptionist for Creative Physicians Remedies. She helped establish the walk-a-thon that benefits the Pregnancy Care Center of Shelbyville and participated in the Child's Advocacy Program. Memorial services will be at 6 pm, Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Town and Country Christian Church, 2133 South Tucker Road, Shelbyville, with Pastors Don Bennett and Rod Beheler officiating. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Pregnancy Care Center of Shelbyville, 2410 East State Road 44, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
