Morris L. Rose, 85, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at Major Hospital.
Born December 29, 1924, he was the son of the late Romeo and Rachel Marie (Kendall) Rose. He married Mary Frances Curry, she preceded him in death on July 28, 2004.
Survivors include his sister, Doris J. Hobbs of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rose had been a farmer and also also formerly employed at General Electric Co. and Wellman Thermal Systems.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mrs. Rose attended Boggstown High School.
He was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 pm Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the local military committee.
